http://www.imhosted.com/supportcenter/frontpage.shtml

To begin your portfolio...
  • Open Microsoft Front Page by double clicking on the Front Page icon on your desk top.
  • Click on File (upper left corner).  Click on Open Web. Type your site URL (see below) in the Web name text box.
  • Now on the left you should see a folder list that contains two folders:
    "_private"
    "images"
  • On the very far left is another bar called the Views bar.  Click the Navigation button or make sure you are in the Navigation view.
  • Underneath the File menu button is a white paper button.  Click this button, not the arrow next to it.  A homepage icon should appear in the main window.
  • Double click the Homepage (note that FrontPage automatically created a file in the Folder List).

You are now ready to begin designing your homepage.

BODY SETUP

Make sure your cursor is in the Body of the page and not in any of the Shared Borders.

Tables are essential to web page design.  You must place all text and graphics in tables.  The tables do not need to be shown on the web, but serve as place holders for information.

Click on Table on the top tool bar. Click on or hover over Insert. Click Table.  Decide how you want to place the required information on your page.  Create a table with rows and columns that will hold the information.
