I was a classroom teacher and a teacher of teachers: undergraduate preservice teachers, teachers seeking a master's degree, and those who become doctors of education. It was a pleasure to teach at every level. Students learning and applying that learning in their classrooms is the greatest reward of my teaching career. Educational research and teaching and learning math, natural and social science, language arts, visual arts, and fostering the belief that all students can learn are the foci of my career. All of this is supported and enhanced by strong belief in and attention to exciting and innovative utilization of educational technology and making sure that children have many opportunities to learn outdoors.
I retired at the end of June, 2017. My focus now is on taking time for myself to remain physically and mentally healthy and on my family and church. I will always be a learner and plan to increase my knowledge and keep up-to-date on educational technology and will to do some consulting with that.
