Hiking in Ireland

5/25/2019

On top of the the other busy-ness of my retirement, I also was gifted by my son, Brendan adaughter-in-law, Laura, and their almost 2 year old daughter, to a wonderful trip to Ireland last September.  I was unhappy to find that I could not fit my Keenfit poles into my suitcase, so I hiked without them or  with a sturdy tree branch when I felt like it.  We hiked in awesome places such as the Giant's Causeway, Tolleymore Forest, Dark Hedges, beautiful Glendalough, and Kilarney Nathional Park. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

    Adventures in
     Pole Walking

    Merryellen

In June, 2017 I retired from over 40 years in education, teaching elementary and middle level children, undergraduate preservice teachers, master's and doctoral students.  I loved teaching.  Now, I am blissfully retired and a full service Gramma to my 11 grandchildren.  I have always enjoyed waling and not had nearly enough time for it in the last 20 years.  This summer, I have begun pole walking and love it!  This blog will record my adventures in pole walking.
